Agadir

Agadir is located on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean near the foot of the Atlas Mountains, 509 km south of Casablanca. It is the capital of the Agadir Ida-U-Tanan Prefecture and of the Sus-Massa economic region. The majority of its inhabitants speak Tashelhit Berber—a variety of the Berber language.
The city was destroyed by an earthquty mild year-round climate.
The mild winter climate (January average midday temperature 20.5 °C) and good beaches have made it a major “winter sun” destination for northern Europeans.

Places to visit

 

La Médina is a handicrafts space. Built using techniques of traditional Berber construction, it is a kind of small open-air museum, on five hectares and home to artisan workshops, a museum, individual residences, a small hotel, and an exotic garden.

 

 

 


The Marina is a space for entertainment, and high-standard shopping center. An extent to the corniche, the Marina offers its clients various services, and activities: Fashion shops, restaurants of all categories (Moroccan/Mediteranean/Italian/French cuisine…), nautical sports (Jet Ski, Fly Board, Surfing…), yachting club, night clubs, pubs, lounges, gaming rooms,. All of it made Marina a touristic complexe, and the right adress for shopping and entertainment face to the sea.


Crocoparc: Through a maze of paths and walkways, one can observe reptiles in their daily lives: lazing in the sun, bathing and demonstrating the power of their jaws during their meal.
The circuit, with a length of over 600 meters, is marked by informational signs to learn not only about crocodiles, but also about the different plant species which inhabit the crossed gardens.

 

 

 

 

 

 


The Kasbah of Agadir Oufella is a citadel that dominates the Atlantic ocean and the city by its height of 236 meters. The Kasbah is an Ideal place to witness a majestic sunset. Agadir hill holds an Arabic inscription that means: “God, Homeland, The king”, which ignites in lights at night, to add a brightness to the city. Agadir Oufella is the perfect destination for a panoramic view of the city.
